Joe’s Special Box – Volume 116

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

All I can say is “Oui, Oui!”  This bracelet from Joe’s Special Box is practically perfect in every way.  Measuring 7.25 inches from end to end, this beauty consists of nine identical links, one featuring a hidden clasp.

Each link is made from 18 karat yellow gold.  The outer oval-shaped ring has a high-polish shine while the interior is decorated by a delicate milgrain wire that loops around the center segment.  The very innermost section is a handmade marquise-shape that is set with one tiny rose cut diamond.  The overall look is exquisite.

Hand-stamped onto the tongue portion of the invisible clasp are two distinct markings…  An eagle and a dog.  These are the French hallmarks for 18 karat and platinum.  These symbols verify that this dainty darling is in fact, French…  made in the Edwardian period, circa 1905.

Available now for just $3,250 – this is just one example of the treasures in Joe’s Special Box.  For 2021, Joe’s Special Box will be making a comeback…  perhaps the greatest comeback of all time.  Stay tuned and be amazed.

The Son and Stars

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Heavenly Things

“I am the light of the world, whomever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

For more than 2000 years, the stars have been a symbol of hope.  Scripture tells us that three wisemen followed the Star of Bethlehem to Jerusalem to find the baby Jesus, the Messiah.  The birth of Christ is the ultimate promise of hope and salvation…  guided by a star.

This classically styled ring resembles a signet with a low-profile oval center atop a smooth shank.  Made from 10 karat yellow gold, the ring features a heavenly array of five six-pointed stars and a setting sun.  Each six-pointed star is set within a bright blue sky.  This azure horizon is actually created from guilloche enameling, the gold was etched with diagonal lines and then coated with translucent blue enamel, giving the scene depth and dimension.

The sun appears to be rising from the base of the ring.  The sun is a life-giving and life-sustaining celestial body that is often thought to symbolize the Son of God.  It is also believed to represent growth, health and the cycle of life.

Carefully engraved inside the ring are the initials “B. T.” and the date “1912”.  This was the very end of the Art Nouveau era and the beginning of Art Deco.  Now, over 100 years later, the symbolism of this unique ring is just as relevant as it was then…  hope for the future, good health and a new beginning.  Priced at just $475, this talisman is available now.  Call us for additional details.

Pick of the Week – Volume 29

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

When it comes to engagement rings, it isn’t just about the center stone.  Although, the diamond is the star of the show – I am a sucker for unique details.  The small elements that make a ring extraordinary and oh-so special.  At Joden, we hand select every ring in our engagement case – from vintage to modern, each one has a secret to reveal.

This contemporary classic is no exception.  Shown here from the top and the side, a 1.14 carat round brilliant diamond dazzles from within a row of smaller diamonds; each one set with “bead and bright” technique.  Very pretty, but not unusual….  in fact, quite traditional so far, right?

One small turn, and the secret is revealed.  The center diamond is set with four 14 karat yellow gold prongs.  This may seem like a tiny detail, but it’s actually an integral part of what makes this ring truly shine.  Weighing more than one carat, this diamond is slightly tinted…  the actual color grade is L-M.  The yellow gold prongs brighten the light golden tone of the center stone.  Additionally, the bridge work of the gallery is also done in 14 karat yellow gold.  This uncommon element is a direct link to the prong work, making the bi-color cathedral setting complete.

Now, peep my favorite part…  two bezel-set little diamonds showcased on the outer edges of the ring.  With a total weight of just .02 carat, this is definitely a very small and yet important element.

Priced at $7,250.00, this beauty has been available on www.joden.com for awhile.  Today, as our Pick of the Week, we are offering it for the discounted price of $5,800!  Personally, I think shopping online for fine jewelry is challenging.  It’s such a personal experience – needing to be seen and touched.  At Joden, we want to make it simple and completely risk free!  We offer a five day return policy on all purchases.  So – don’t hesitate.  Press that buy button!
