This unique vintage ring has a sweet story to tell. The design of this ring tells us that after the passing of her husband, a widow had her band soldered to her husbands wedding band to create a single ring. This pair of 20 karat yellow gold wedding bands have a high polished finish and together measure 7 millimeters wide. A trio of diamonds set in an oval shaped palladium plate are set on the top centered in between the pair of bands. This diamond plate was more than likely the center of the original engagement ring worn with one of the bands. The inside of the first band is engraved "L.D. 3.4.27" and the inside of the second band is engraved "H.R. 3.4.27". This piece is currently a finger size 7, sizing this ring would disturb the engraving on the inside of the ring.
