Joe’s Special Box – Volume 27

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Simply stunning.  This Art Deco beauty is everything you’ve ever wanted in a diamond ring.  Let’s start with that killer Old European Cut center stone…  weighing 1.55 carats, this gem was graded by the Gemological Institute of America.  The diamond is situated inside a unique style halo…

A circle of eight platinum tulip shapes form a one-of-a-kind frame, each flower set with a single-cut diamond.  Interspersed between the blossoms are millegrain edged bars that form the prongs of the ring.  Cascading down each shoulder are a series of three half-moon segments in decreasing sizes… also set with single-cut diamonds.  The culmination of these details is a 1920’s dream.

Vintage jewelry lovers everywhere will be swooning for this piece from Joe’s Special Box.  Priced at just over $13,000.00 – this is one ring you don’t want to miss.

Baubles, Bling and Carved Rings

Recently, I heard a young lady tell her beau “Hold the ring in your hand…  if you can’t even tell it’s there, it’s not the right ring.”  While I may not always agree with that, I can certainly understand what she meant.  Intricately carved from half an ounce of platinum, this patterned pair exudes quality.

Just look at this bridal suite, shown here in profile. These are rings of distinction.  Each one features softly rounded edges that provide a truly comfortable fit.  I love the contrast between those smooth polished sides and the etched surface.  My favorite detail has to be the tiny twist of gold wire that sits below the center diamond…  still visible even when the rings are nestled side by side.  I love that little pop of color!

A singular round brilliant diamond winks from the center of the engagement ring.  Held in place by four stout prongs, this diamond weighs .91 carat.  It sparkles and shines from every angle.  This diamond and pair of rings has been certified by the International Gemological Institute of America.  They have been valued at $12,015.00.  We have them available now on our site for just $8,960.00 (a savings of over 25%)!

These and many others can be found at www.joden.com.  Check it out now, and as always…

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 26

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

Check out this little cutie…  at first glance, you would probably think that this is an emerald ring.  It looks like an emerald, and it’s cut like an emerald.  So, it must be an emerald, right?  Wrong.  This tiny sparkler is actually called demantoid – a green variety of garnet.  This gem was discovered in 1868 in Russia…

Here’s a close-up view…  look at this rich color!  This yellow-green shade tends to display more fire, more sparkle than other hues.  The most unique aspect of this stone is actually held inside – it features an unusual type of inclusion; feathery curved threads resembling a horsetail.  Many people value this kind of imperfection because it verifies the pedigree of the demantoid – proving it’s from Russia.

A heavily engraved solitaire mounting is the perfect accent to this rare garnet.  Made in classic Edwardian style – this 18 karat yellow gold ring features eight claw-like platinum prongs.  They showcase the stone to perfection…  allowing enough natural light underneath.  This demantoid garnet ring truly shines for just $1500.  This piece is another example of the treasures that abound in Joe’s Special Box.
