Joe’s Special Box Luxury Edition – Volume 20

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and A Collector’s Things

Some words just sound luxurious…  expensive even.  Extravagance drips from each syllable.  Practically screaming sumptuous grandeur is one of my personal favorites… chandelier.  This French term shimmers with lavish opulence.  Though originally coined to describe an elaborate candelabra that is suspended from the ceiling, the word chandelier was later used to define a particularly grandiose style of earrings.  Simply put, chandelier earrings are characterized by several drops hanging from a singular central point.

Recently acquired, these upscale earrings were created by Santa Fe goldsmith, Luna Felix (peep the signature on the back).  She specializes in the ancient art of granulation, an incredibly precise process in which tiny beads of gold are used to create intricate designs.  Luna Felix works exclusively in high karat gold; these modern beauties were crafted from a stunning combination of 18 and 22-karat yellow gold.  Measuring more than 3.5 inches from top to bottom, these are the very definition of statement earrings.

Reminiscent of banana bunches growing on a tree, these sumptuous chandeliers showcase more than thirty curled leaves in a gloriously three-dimensional array.  Dangling throughout the entire bottom half of the earrings are sixty-two cultured pearls.  Measuring anywhere from one to nine millimeters, these gems of the sea are well-matched, softening the vibe of the earrings.

Substantial in both look and feel, these earrings are not for the faint of heart.  These are not earrings that you’ll put on and forget you’re wearing them.  The sheer weight pulls the earlobe down while the pearls brush against the neck.  Weighing 44.6 pennyweight (more than two ounces), Luna Felix designed these showstoppers for true jewelry lovers.  Bringing new meaning to the phrase “beauty is pain”, these chandelier earrings are priced at $5,750.00 and are the latest edition to our estate department.  Add a touch of luxury to your life today.

Pick of the Week – Volume 64

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

Selling  on the internet is challenging.  The most successful websites are both inviting and professional.  The photos are creative and fresh.  Noteworthy sellers incorporate social media posts that embrace the latest Instagram and Facebook trends like reels and videos.  Bloggers that flourish manage to be engaging, relevant yet not repetitive.  It’s a heck of a lot of work and can be frustrating.  However, when we get it right, it’s exhilarating!

Dana and I are constantly fine-tuning the website; we love to try new things and bounce ideas off of each other.  We research trends to see what jewelry is going to be hot this season.  You might even see the same piece of jewelry more than once.  If a particularly lovely bauble doesn’t sell the first time, we try again.  Sometimes, we even offer special pricing.

This week, we are re-introducing an old friend that has been on our site for a long time…  too long, to be honest.  It’s an ultra-feminine tassel pendant made entirely of platinum.  The arched top features a singular quatrefoil flower with a bezel set diamond center; two additional bezel set diamonds are situated to the left and right.  Three individual strands dangle from the curved top; the center one is a touch longer than the other two.

The floral motif continues with a series of six tulip-shaped links – there are two on each dangling strand.  Each tiny bloom is upside down and set with an Old European cut diamond.  Altogether, there are fourteen diamonds that have a total weight of .35 carat.  These sparklers have an average color grade of H-I and an average clarity grade of SI1-2.  A bright green pop of color is provided by a sculpted emerald bead.

Three natural baroque pearls cap the bottom of each tassel.  Measuring 1.75 inches from the top of the bail to the tip of the pearl, this pendant hangs from a 16-inch platinum cable-link chain.  Previously priced at $2,550.00 – this ethereal beauty is available now for just $1,500.00!  That’s a substantial savings on this vintage find.

If you’ve had your eye on this pendant, now’s the time.  I can promise that this is one Pick of the Week that won’t last long!

His and Hers – Volume 12

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Complementary Rings

I’m definitely an old-fashioned girl.  I’ve been married for over twenty-four years.  For all of those years and a few more while we were just dating, my husband and I have fulfilled traditional roles… I take care of the house and he takes care of the vehicles and outdoor tasks (mowing the lawn, snow removal, etc).  It’s a natural fit for both of us, and we’ve thrived in those roles.

One of my favorite traditions is complementary rings.  Whether they be wedding bands or right hand rings, there’s something so special about complementary pieces.  I love the visual connection – this week, we have a special pair of rings.

Both featuring a rich pop of purple, these modern amethyst rings are sharp and stylish.  His ring (modeled by our own Steve Becker) is a 14-karat yellow gold stunner.  A 1.00 carat baguette cut amethyst is bezel set in the center of fourteen round brilliant diamonds.  These diamonds have a combined weight of .75 carat.  The gold has been polished to a pristine shine.  This is one of the only amethyst men’s rings I have ever seen.  Moderately priced at $1,275.00, this ring is available in our store.

Not matching, but certainly complementing this handsome ring is an equally appealing ladies ring.  It, too is made from 14-karat yellow gold.  Made in a classic bypass style, the two ends of the ring wrap around and almost pass each other.  Perfectly positioned in the end cap of each side are a matched pair of square-cut amethyst gemstones.  These vivid violet stones have a combined weight of approximately .50 carat.  The style is simple, with no additional stones or decor. This modern beauty is available for just $675.00.

With so many similarities, these two rings are ideal for a husband and wife, a mother and her son, a father and his daughter, a brother and sister… any two people who share a deep connection.  If you are longing for an outward symbol of the bond between you and that special someone – these two rings are perfect.  Stop by or give us a call to claim one or both of them today.
