What’s New – Volume Two

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and The Latest Things

I almost hesitate to share this latest find… the last time we featured a similar piece, it created quite a stir.  It sold immediately…  but the inquiries about that particular ring were seemingly endless with a line of willing buyers if the initial sale fell through.  As you can imagine, the original buyer loved the ring and has treasured it ever since.  That was nearly a year ago…  meaning that it has taken us that long to uncover another ring as sweet as that one was.

Just a few days ago, the ring pictured on the dark background came out of our shop…  fresh from restoration.  Shown with it’s predecessor, the similarities are striking.  Both of these beauties are made from platinum in the early part of the 20th century.  Both also feature a three stone style, complete with one gem fine ruby and two older cut diamonds.

New to us, this delicate darling is resplendent with a hand-pierced filigree design.  The pattern swirls and whorls around the gemstone trio in the center.  Weighing approximately .50 carat, this deep red ruby appears to be Burmese and is of fine quality.  It is flanked by a pair of Old Mine Cut diamonds that have a combined weight of approximately .55 carat.  Surrounding these stones and nestled deep within the dome-shaped ring are sixteen old cut diamonds that offer an additional .50 carat of brilliance.

In pristine condition, this ring is practically perfect in every way.  Made in the heart of the Art Deco period, it’s priced at just $1,880.00.  Click the photos to view it live on our website.  If you love it as much as we do, do not hesitate to click the buy button.  If history repeats itself, it won’t last long.

Checking Boxes

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Five Star Things

Art Deco – it was a time of luxury and glamour expressed through visual design.  The style was evident in everything from architecture to vacuum cleaners…  one of the most notable influences was, of course, jewelry.  Pieces from the 1920’s and 1930’s were constructed from white gold and platinum with intricate details and stunning craftsmanship.

The most sought after elements of the era include:

  • Filigree and fine wire work
  • Hand engraved patterns
  • Diamond accents
  • A pop of color – ruby, emerald and sapphire were popular choices
  • Bold geometric shapes
  • White gold or platinum construction

This elongated octagonal ring follows this must-have list of desired features right down to the very last one.

Like your grandmother following an old family recipe…  each detail has combined to create a masterpiece.  Two windows of filigree run parallel to the line of three central stones.  Complex engraving decorates the shoulders, edges and every spot in between.  Even now, the patterns are strong with minimal wear.  A matched pair of single-cut diamonds sit above and below the bright blue center; this French cut sapphire is synthetic and original to the ring.  Made from 18 karat white gold in the form of a cut-cornered rectangle, this Deco beauty does not disappoint.

It has real presence on the finger without being overstated.  With every earmark of a fine Art Deco piece, you must be wondering about the price.  No need to worry – it’s available now for just $675.00!  It’s perfect for jewelry lovers of every kind from the most savvy collector to vintage virgins.  If you’ve been longing to take the leap and get your very first piece of Art Deco jewelry, then this is the ring for you.  And if your Deco gems overflow the sides of your jewelry box, then you can certainly appreciate the appeal of this deal.  Visit our site to make it yours today.

Three’s Company

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Three Deco Rings

When it come to the number three there is much myth and mystique that surrounds this divine digit.  Most of the hype revolves around religious connotations…  the number is used 467 times in the Bible.  It also signifies the holy trinity, perfection and completeness.  I cannot think of any words more accurate to describe these rings than those….

This late Art Deco stunner dates back to the 1930’s.  A series of eleven European cut diamonds decorate each and every angle of this square-shaped gem.  Handmade with 1.00 carat of sparkling bling, delicate beaded edges and fine pierced filigree – this platinum piece is tough to beat.  Priced at $3,500, you would be hard-pressed to find a ring in better condition that also offers so much visual appeal.  It’s a treat for the eyes, no doubt.

This botanical beauty is my favorite of the threesome.  If you’re a regular reader, you know that I am a sucker for jewels that rock that flower vibe.  So, you can imagine my excitement when I discovered this multi-colored blossom.  A .60 carat Old European Cut diamond winks from a scalloped halo of alternating French cut emeralds and sapphires.  It’s made entirely of platinum – adding physical strength and durability to its delicate appearance.  This ring sits flawlessly on my right hand, but would also make an unconventional engagement ring.  Moderately priced at $2,380, this ring will not disappoint.

Closing out the grouping is this little sparkler.  Made from a combination of platinum and 18 karat white gold, this ring speaks softly with quiet beauty.  Lightly engraved patterns on the shoulders pair with French and single cut diamonds to create a superb setting for the singular stripe of blue sapphires filing down the center of the ring.  Priced at $1,650 – this ring may not knock your socks off at first glance, but upon closer inspection…  the charm of the subtle details will have you falling in love a little more every day.

At Joden, this trio is just the beginning.  The eclectic and extensive inventory can only be outdone by the outstanding assistance and knowledge of our staff.  We pride ourselves on providing unmatched customer service to every client we meet. Check us out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
