Pick of the Week – Volume 75

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

Over the past few weeks, we have selected a series of diamond rings to highlight.  The introduction of lab grown diamonds has impacted the earth-mined diamond market.  And although we don’t sell lab grown material, we are very in tune to the current market, pricing and trends.  In an effort to continue to bring our customers the best possible pricing every single day, we have been evaluating and updating the price of each diamond we sell.  Many of those diamond rings have become featured Picks of the Week.  So far, I have blogged about seven different ones.  Each one is unique and beautiful, but to be brutally honest…  I’m a bit tired of white gold diamond rings.  I’m dying for a little color!

Today, I’m satisfying that color craving in the best way.  Made by modern designer Beverley K, this 18-karat white gold gem is truly unique.  Five vertical rows have been sandwiched together, each one set with round brilliant diamonds.  The center row utilizes the bezel-set style, while the outer rows showcase prong setting techniques.  Each line is bordered by tiny beaded trim that is known as milgrain.  A high-polish shank offers a clean contrast to the highly detailed center.

There are thirty-six diamonds in all with a combined weight of approximately .27 carat.  Nestled into the middle of the ring is the most glorious pop of color – a cushion cut blue sapphire.  Weighing 1.60 carats, this bright hue of this gem is known as cornflower blue.  The color is hypnotic…  staring at this lush stone almost makes the rest of the ring disappear.  It’s nothing but a sea of beautiful blue.

In additional to the stunning color is yet another notable detail.  The color is completely natural… this sapphire is unheated.  Nearly all sapphires (and countless other gems) are heat treated to enhance their color.  This sapphire is a rare, untouched beauty – it has been cut and polished, but nothing more.  It was extracted from the Earth in this very shade of blue.  It’s a natural wonder.  Today, we’re offering this ring with a $500 price drop.  Previously available for $5,500 – it’s now just $5,000.00!  If you love a natural beauty, make this one yours today.

His and Hers

Baubles, Bling, and Harmonious Rings

Check out these beauties!  One for the ladies and one for the gents…  this pair of rings is Art Deco inspired deliciousness.  Bright white gold, elaborate engraving, sparkling diamonds and a pop of blue sapphire all sing in sweet harmony.  The eye hardly knows where to look first, but let’s give it a try.

Ladies before gentlemen, as the saying goes.  Although this ring may look like it’s right out of the 1920’s, it’s actually a modern marvel designed by Beverley K, an award-winning manufacturer of graceful and feminine jewelry.  A dazzling white 1.00 carat round brilliant diamond is fitted between a pair of rectangular french cut blue sapphires that weigh .16 carats.  Surrounding the center trio are eighteen single cut diamonds that have a combined total weight of .17 carats.  Tiny beaded edges (also known as millegrain) and intricate engraving succeed in amping up the vintage volume.  This ring is currently listed on our website for $4200.

Give us a call, mention this blog and this stunning Beverley K ring can be yours for just $3700!***

Last, but certainly not least is this beautiful gents ring.  It, too, feels very Art Deco.  But just like the lady’s ring above, this is a more modern piece.  Crafted during the 1950’s from 14 karat white gold, this gem features killer design elements that make it the ideal complement to our lady’s piece.  Check out the double millegrain border that highlights the center diamond!  And what a diamond it is…  weighing in at 1.53 carats, it catches the light from every angle.  Four french cut synthetic sapphires bring an element of color to the artful engraving the swirls down each shoulder.  Everything about this ring screams classic elegance…  make it your for just $10,500.

I love the idea of some lucky couple making these twinning counterparts into their wedding rings or anniversary bands.  If that doesn’t happen, then I look forward to someone making either of these Art Deco-inspired works into an heirloom of the future.  Let our experts at Joden Jewelers help you make memories of your own.

Sapphire Stimulation

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and Azure Things

This is the first week of the new year!  Social Media is alight with well wishes, celebratory photos, and resolutions for 2019.  Without fail, the end of December (and my tendency to over-indulge during the holiday season) has me vowing to start fresh in January.  I promise myself annually that I will eat healthy and exercise…  low carbs and yoga!  2018 has been no exception.  My co-workers and I actually joked about having an office wide “Biggest Loser” competition.  Do you, too, make these pledges?  Unfortunately, every year I get off track, life gets busy, and I break the pact I made with myself.

Perhaps what I (any maybe you) need is a visual reminder…  a little sparkle of incentive.  What better source of motivation is there than a sapphire ring?  In times past, the rich blue gem was thought to be a symbol of wisdom, virtue, and good fortune.  I am certain that this is the secret to achieving my New Year’s Resolutions!

Art Deco influence abounds in this 18 karat white gold Beverley K Design.  A 2.02 carat oval sapphire is the crowning glory of this vintage inspired beauty.  Milgrain beading outlines a pattern of marquise-shaped leaves, each one accented by a single round brilliant diamond.  The shank of the ring features a deeply etched pattern, completing the look.  Isn’t this the perfect inspiration for all of your 2019 goals?  $5500 seems a small price to pay for a year of success!  😉

Don’t hesitate!  Go to our site and look, then come to Joden and touch.
