Joden Girl
Baubles, Bling and Transformative Things
C. S. Lewis said, “You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”. As 2021 is coming to a close and we’re on the cusp of a fresh start, these words have never been more true. It would behoove each of us to take Lewis’s words to heart. We are never more hungry for change or more motivated to improve and transform ourselves than at the beginning of a new year.
Goals and dreams are all about change and transformation, both physically and spiritually. Undergoing a complete metamorphosis in its life cycle, the butterfly is the ultimate symbol for renewal. This ethereal winged creature begins life as an egg, then becomes a caterpillar, next a chrysalis before finally emerging as a butterfly. Each stage is a building block, an integral part of the next.
This ring would be an ideal talisman for 2022. Made from 18 karat gold, this three-dimensional insect appears to rest on the finger. Four softly rounded cabochon pieces of natural peachy-pink coral juxtapose to create the wings. Held in place by claw-like prongs, the hue of this organic stone is perfectly complemented by the faint pink glow of rose gold. Nestled between the wings and set in a vertical orientation is a singular marquise diamond. Weighing exactly .36 carat, this bright stone forms the body. An additional fourteen round brilliant diamonds are set into the band of the ring adding another .18 carat of sparkle to this unusual piece.
The weights of the stones along with the purity of the gold are carefully engraved inside the shank of the ring. Clever design (the butterfly is situated atop a solid band) will allow this gem to be sized up or down to fit any finger, although I personally like the look of it on an index finger. Moderately priced at $1,200.00, this figural ring is available just in time for the new year.
At the risk of sounding cliché… “Carpé Diem!” This ring would be the perfect reminder of the goals you’ve set for yourself. Seize the day with this whimsical beauty available exclusively at Joden Jewelers.
