What’s New – Volume 22

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and The Latest Things

We’re rounding out the month of March with this absolutely fabulous birthstone bracelet.  Seven inches of dazzling bling, each link in this modern beauty is set with fine quality gemstones.  Alternating from an east/west set oval aquamarine and open-centered circles of diamonds, this bracelet is a true show-stopper.

The framework is made from a combination of platinum and 18-karat yellow gold.  The hue of each metal is the perfect complement to the gem that it holds – white for the aquas and yellow for the diamonds.

In regard to aquamarine, color is key.  Fine shades like a deep blue with a hint of green are hard to come by.  These moderately intense colors are most often found in stones weighing over five carats each.  Here, we have eight perfectly matched gems of the finest quality that weigh just 1.50 carat each.  That’s quite unusual.  Small aquamarines are generally pale and washed out.

Set between these tranquil cerulean gemstones are ninety-six round brilliant diamonds.  These diamonds have a combined weight of 8.50 carats.  With an average color grade of G-H and an average clarity grade of VS, these sparklers are the ideal accent for the colored gems.  Fine aquamarine is rare – this beauty is new to our site.  It’s priced at $12,750.00 and worth every penny.

Joe’s Special Box Luxury Edition – Volume Five

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and  A Collector’s Things

Aged to perfection.  Those words have never been more true.  This Art Deco stunner is nearly one hundred years old and is every bit as good today as it was the day it was made.  The condition of the bracelet is mint – and unbelievable.  It appears as though it was never worn.  Surely that can’t be…  who could own a piece this beautiful and not wear it?

A one carat marquise diamond beckons from the center of the bracelet.  It’s set in a saucy fashion… east/west oriented.  A trio of leaf-shaped openings flank the stone.  This painstakingly perfect piercing is hand done and accented with tiny beaded edges.  This delicate detail work, called milgrain, is indicative of the period.  It can be found on nearly every edge of the bracelet.

Natural emerald trim adds a bright pop of color to the resplendent array of diamonds that cover the piece from end to end.  Two hundred and two diamonds totaling over 7.50 carats to be precise.  You might think that a bracelet with 8.50 carats of diamonds would be over the top…  too fancy to wear.  It isn’t.  Somehow it manages to strike the perfect balance that is both dazzling and delicate.

Priced at $22,500.00 – this glittering gem is the epitome of elegance.  It’s luxurious and lovely… too good to pass up.  For additional details, give us a call.  Ask about the 1920’s bracelet from Joe’s Special Box.  You’re only regret would be NOT calling.

Arm Candy

 Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Art Deco Things

The years between WWI and WWII were a time of great prosperity, and even earned a famous moniker…  the Roaring Twenties.  Aptly named, the era was noted by a feeling of exuberance that took the United States by storm.  Americans experienced a wave of wealth that was both welcome and unfamiliar.  It allowed them to splurge on luxury items such as radios, fashionable clothing, automobiles and even jewelry.

If ever there was a golden time to be able to binge on jewels, the Art Deco years were certainly ideal.  While the exact beginning and ending of Art Deco cannot be pinpointed, most agree that the period lasted from about 1920-1935.  Undoubtedly the most influential period in jewelry history, the style of Art Deco has been replicated, copied and imitated more than any other.

This beauty epitomizes all the fine points of the era.  Made entirely of platinum, this bracelet centers on a trio of open-culet marquise cut diamonds.  These three sparklers have a combined weight of approximately .50 carat.  Accenting this threesome are a series of bright blue synthetic sapphires (authentic to the period), creating a diamond shape that expertly draws the eye while adding just a touch of color.  An intricate pattern was achieved using artfully interlocking links.  Each of these links has been handset with round diamonds, eighty in all.  These diamonds have a combined total weight of 3.00 carats.

The thing that I love most about this bracelet is the practicality of it.  That’s right, I said it’s practical.  Most bracelets from the Art Deco period are wider and quite extravagant, like this gem featured on our website:

It’s a special occasion piece.  Stunning, yet not exactly the kind of thing that you wear to the grocery store.  Definitely worth checking out.  But for now, let’s get back to today’s piece…  this little number is in pristine condition and is dainty enough to wear every day.  It pairs perfectly with your favorite pair of jeans and also works well for date night.  My second favorite part of this little bit of arm candy is the price – $5500.  It’s rare to find an authentic Art Deco bracelet at an affordable price.  It’s the perfect summer accessory!
