Baubles, Bling and Quality Things

“Quality without compromise.”

This is the statement that Jabel Ring Manufacturing Company was founded on in 1916.  For more than one hundred years. this American company has been synonymous with and recognized for the finest diamond jewelry.  In 2007, David Connelly took the reigns of Jabel in hand and ensured that this Newark, New Jersey company would continue on for another hundred years.  His promise was that “Jabel is the exact same company it was in 1916; quality without compromise was, is, and always will be the Jabel way.”

Jabel pieces often pop up in the estate jewelry world.  Due to their superior craftsmanship, the pieces are almost always in near perfect condition.  I love seeing the “Jabel” hallmark on a great piece of vintage jewelry, like this lovely dome ring.

The rich, warm hue of 18-karat yellow gold instantly distinguishes this ring from any other.  A narrow 1.5mm shank cathedrals up to a stunning sphere.  Three-dimensional, this light and airy dome sits beautifully atop the finger.  Made from a series of interwoven wire, the overall appearance is actually quite delicate.  Each intersecting wire features a beaded texture.  When viewed from the top, it offers a decidedly floral vibe.

Sitting centerstage is one round diamond that weighs approximately .25 carat.  An additional twelve round brilliant diamonds are sprinkled throughout the basket-woven dome.  These diamonds have a total weight of .45 carat.  Near colorless, all of these diamonds have an average clarity grade of VS.  Made in the 1960’s, this ring is very Mid Century Modern.  This ring is currently a finger size 6.5, and can be easily sized up or down.  Priced at just $1,500., this Jabel jewel is the latest addition to our estate collection.  Call us to make it yours.
