Green with Envy

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and a Lovely Ring

Every girl needs to have a pretty ring.  It doesn’t have to be expensive (although, it certainly could be!); in fact, it could be costume jewelry.  It might be a wedding ring, a birthstone ring, or even a right-hand ring.  Maybe you wear it on your ring finger or maybe it’s a pinky ring.  You might even wear it on a chain around your neck.  The only requirement is that it’s pretty, and that it makes you smile when you look at it.

This ring is a perfect example.  Made from a rich, buttery 18-karat yellow gold, it’s simple and oh-so elegant.  It fits the ring finger of my right hand, and I have it on now.  As my fingers strike the keyboard on my laptop, I can’t resist watching the light from the television reflect across the surface of the center stone.  Taking the shape of an elongated oval, this tourmaline is a glorious deep forest green.  Weighing approximately 5.00 carats, this semi-precious gem is held in place with four prongs.

Accenting the center stone are six round brilliant diamonds.  Three on each side, they’re clustered together in the shape of a small triangle.  These diamonds have a combined weight of .40 carat.  Bright white and full of sparkle, they highlight the center stone perfectly.  The shank of the ring is doubled, with a singular rib running between the two halves.  It splits at the base of the diamond setting, continuing up each side and ultimately joining with the prongs that hold the tourmaline.

The latest addition to our site, this modern ring is priced at $1,975.00.  It works equally well on a ring finger, an index or middle finger, or perhaps a pinky!  Able to be sized up or down, the choice is yours.  As it sits comfortably on my hand, I can assure you that it’s definitely a pretty ring.  And it has, indeed, brought a smile to my face.  Hop on over to our site to make it yours today.  Your friends will be green with envy!

What’s New – Volume 9

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and The Latest Things

If you’re a regular on our social media, you know that we love our conversion jewelry!  We love taking something that’s been laying around here and giving it a new life.  Sometimes a piece is worn out, broken or perhaps just no longer relevant.  To take that and create something fresh is so satisfying.

Our most recent passion has been conversion rings.  For years we shied away from them – but just a few months ago, with the addition of our new jeweler, we got brave!  Whether it be an old stick pin, or perhaps a shirt stud from a tuxedo set – these little finds make the sweetest rings when you combine them with the perfect band.

We’re crazy over this oh-so-elegant gem.  Formerly an oversize slide pendant, this incredible green tourmaline was constantly overlooked.  When we paired it with this simple yellow gold band, this elongated emerald cut deep green stone came alive.  It’s available in our conversion case for just $850.00.

If you love the first ring, this one will knock your socks off.  Made from 18 karat yellow and a bit of white gold, this ring is true showstopper.  Measuring 1.5 inches from top to bottom, this ring reaches from knuckle to knuckle on my hand.  The emerald cut tourmaline weighs 10.00 carats and is surrounded by twenty-two diamonds that have a total weight of .75 carat.  Framed by a bold gold border, this ring is everything you never knew you needed.  Priced at $3,750.00 – it’s too good to miss.

Shown together, we’re dying to know which one is your favorite.    Which would you choose – simple elegance or over-the-top bling?  Can’t wait to hear from you!
