Baubles, Bling and A Collector’s Things

Have you ever heard of a knuckle duster?  By definition, it’s a metal guard worn over the knuckles in fighting to increase the effect of the punches being thrown.  Perhaps you’re more familiar with the term brass knuckles.  These small, concealable weapons can cause severe injuries.  They’re so dangerous, in fact, that knuckle dusters are illegal in most states.  The term has also been used as slang to describe a large, flashy ring.  It implies that the ring is ostentatious and over-the-top.  This week, we are debuting a ring that is exactly that…

This bold bit of bling is a true statement piece.  Made entirely of 18-karat white gold, this ring is quite heavy – weighing just over an ounce!  Even at its most narrow point, the ribbed band is 7 mm wide.  Starting at the base, the shank gradually widens, reaching 22 mm at the top.  This impressive mounting is glittering with gemstones on all four sides… even the prongs are sparkling!  Fifty cushion cut fine sapphires have been set edge to edge with expert precision.  These beauties are bubble gum pink in color with a combined weight of exactly 5.64 carats.

Surrounding those sapphires are one hundred and ninety round brilliant diamonds.  The colorless gems create a border for the pink sapphires.  In total, these diamonds weigh 1.98 carats.  All of this show-stopping sparkle was painstakingly created to pay homage to a truly spectacular center stone.

Emerald-cut in shape, this is the finest pink tourmaline I have ever seen.  It weighs a whopping 28.64 carats and it dances in the light.  At first glance, the color can only be described as raspberry… it’s pink, it’s violet, it’s red.  With every wave of the hand, the stone ignites inside.  The large table facet on top reflects giant flashes of light in the most mesmerizing way.  The effect is hypnotic; it is indeed, a knuckle duster like no other.  Priced at $8,250.00, this ring offers a lot of bang for your buck – and I have no doubt that it could double as a weapon as well!  Call us to make it yours today.

Baubles, Bling and Quality Things

Is there a perfect pair of earrings?  It would have to be something that pairs equally well with jeans or formal wear; an accessory that you can wear every single day.  If you could only have one set of earrings for the rest of your life, what would they look like?  For some, they could be diamonds or perhaps sapphires.  Others might describe a simple pearl stud or something that dangles enchantingly from the earlobe.  For me, it would be a pair of hoops.  If I choose to wear earrings (my hair hides my ears, so sometimes my lobes go bare), it’s nearly always hoops.

Personally, I feel like hoop earrings convey an air of whimsy and lightheartedness.  Someone who wears hoops is often perceived as a stylishly chic and fun person.  There are so many different types of hoops – assorted sizes, metal choices, plain or bedazzled.  There are endless choices.  Could there be an ideal balance of all of these options?

This recent acquisition just might be exactly that, the perfect hoop earrings.  These unique beauties are made from the dynamic combination of 18-karat yellow gold and stainless steel.  With a circumference of slightly less than a quarter, they’re an excellent size… large enough to be noticed but not so large to be uncomfortable.  Measuring 3/8 of an inch wide, these earrings offer real presence.  The omega-style closure snaps over the post of the earring bringing it snug against the lobe.

The look presents two hoops placed side by side with an interesting pattern – the chevron.  The 18-karat yellow gold portion is comprised of four distinct narrow bands while the stainless steel portion is a singular wide band.  The two colors alternate both vertically and horizontally.  Combined, the earrings weigh just over an ounce, a detail that offers a luxurious feel.  Both the inside and outside of the earrings are pristinely polished, making them as smooth as silk.

One final feature of these lovely earrings are the crisp hallmarks etched onto each one: “750, Or Et Acier, Bvlgari, Made In Italy, and 2337 AL”.  These markings state that the earrings are made from 18-karat yellow gold and stainless steel and that they were made in Italy by the legendary jeweler… Bvlgari.  Each of the hallmarks ensure the superior quality of the hoops.

Designed to last a lifetime and beyond, these earrings are truly worth the investment.  Priced at $4050.00, they’re not a bargain… but they are worth every penny.  Call or message us to make them yours today.

Baubles, Bling and A Collector’s Things

With the first day of autumn in the rear view, it’s time to break out fall fashion.  There’s nothing like a chunky cable-knit sweater to ward off the nip in the air.  Thick braided cords of wool, cotton or cashmere twist around each other to create the coziest and comfiest feel.  Paired with suede kitten-heel knee boots, and your fit is almost perfect.  But… no look is complete without a bit of bling.  This week, we have the most divine sweater weather necklace.

Measuring just over twenty-eight inches in length, this 18-karat yellow gold beauty is to die for.  Thick curb link chain combines with bold color to make jewelry magic.  Starting from one end of the integrated box clasp, there is a series of fourteen individual gemstone links that alternate with 1.5 inch segments of heavy gold chain.  Each richly colored gem is more beautiful than the last…

Two shades of tourmaline, both pink and green, citrine, aquamarine, peridot, and amethyst gems are bezel set in octagonal links.  Flanking each brightly hued gem are baguette diamonds… two on the left and two on the right.  These fifty-six sparklers have a total weight of 1.25 carats!  Made in the 1980’s, this necklace is bold and beautiful. The weighty heft of this luxurious piece feels SO good – 3.25 ounces of gold draped around your neck!  Make an investment in your wardrobe with this bauble for $9,850.00.   Call us or stop by to make it yours today.
