Baubles, Bling and Curious Things
Dubbed the gemstone of the Caribbean, tanzanite is a stunningly brilliant blue gem that has charmed jewelry lovers around the world. If you’ve ever gone on a cruise, I’m sure you recall the tables laden with tray after tray of glorious tanzanite rings. Hundreds of them, each one more dazzling than the last. The salespeople behind the counter are fluent in the language of tanzanite… they certainly know their product. They’re also well educated in the fine art of salesmanship. Perhaps you succumbed to the allure of the enchanting Caribbean jewels or perhaps you left those treasures behind and have regretted it ever since. I’ve heard rave reviews and I’ve heard horror stories about cruise ship purchases – and I have no words of wisdom. What I do have is a ring that reminds me of those beauties.
Made entirely of 14-karat yellow gold, this bypass style ring is a real head-turner. The shank of the ring splits in the center, leaving two crisp and clean ends. The shanks twists, allowing the two ends of the shank to align vertically. A 2.0mm channel has been cut into the shank. Six custom cut pieces of black opal fill the channel, adding a kaleidoscope of green and blue hues to this modern ring. When this unique ring is tipped, a subtle detail appears. The outside edges of the shank feature a secondary channel… this one is filled with small round brilliant diamonds. There are twenty sparklers that have a combined weight of .40 carat.
Sitting tall within a 6-prong head is a medium blue tanzanite. This beautiful stone weighs approximately 2.50 carats. The hue of this gem is not the deepest blue nor is it the palest lavender… it’s a true cerulean. Perfectly complementing the blue in the opal, this tanzanite sits at a jaunty angle. When worn, this rings rises 3/8 of an inch off the finger and reaches nearly knuckle to knuckle. A bold choice, this ring is the latest addition to our estate department. With so much going for it, I have to ask… do you think this ring is hot? Or not? If you love it and you’ve been pining for a Caribbean gem of your very own, here’s your chance! This beauty is available for just $1,850.00. Call us to claim it today.
