Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Meaningful Things

Falling in love with this sweet little ring was as easy as one, two, three.  Featuring the bright color combination of a deep hypnotic blue and a cheerful canary yellow, this three-stone ring is simply charming.  I am continually surprised by my ever-changing taste in jewelry.   I’ve never been a fan of heart jewelry,  I have even blogged about it a time or two.  Remember this showstopping pendant?  Or perhaps this lovely repoussé bracelet?  To date, I have written 518 blogs; a mere 8 of them have featured a piece of heart jewelry.  That factors out to a scant 1.5%.  The numbers alone speak for themselves – when it comes to heart-themed jewelry, I would rather leave it than take it.

Preferences are constantly evolving…  often based on exposure to different people, places and cultures.  For reasons unbeknownst to me, my own heart has softened in regard to romantically themed jewelry.  This ring is a perfect example.  We’ve had it for quite a while.  I’ve glanced at it dozens of times with zero reaction.  Nothing.  Not even a tiny flutter.  Then just last week as I was digging for something fresh to blog about, it caught my eye.

I took it out of the little plastic bag and slid it on my ring finger.  Instantly, I was smitten.  For a three-stone ring, it’s dainty – delicate even.  A trio of heart-shaped stones line up side by side.  Set in 18-karat yellow gold, each stone is held with a protective v-shaped prong at the tip and an additional prong on each curve.  The center stone is a vivid blue sapphire that weighs approximately .85 carat.  It’s flanked by a glistening pair of natural fancy yellow diamonds that have a combined weight of 1.00 carat.

Three-stone rings often symbolize the past, present and future of a relationship.  That style usually features one larger stone in the center with two smaller ones on the sides.  Here, the trio of stones are similarly sized – this design is sometimes called a triplet ring and can represent friendship, love and fidelity.  Moderately priced at just $3,650.00 – the ring is available on our website.  Hop on over for more photos and additional details and remember to follow your heart…  it might lead you to something unexpectedly amazing!

Triple Threat

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and a Three Stone Ring

The aura of mystery that surrounds the number three is vast and varied.  The ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras believed the meaning of numbers to be quite significant.  Representing harmony, wisdom and understanding, he proclaimed three to be the perfect number.  Pythagoras dubbed it the number of time in more ways than one…

  • Past, Present and Future
  • Birth, Life and Death
  • Beginning, Middle and End

The perfect balance achieved by the number three has been beloved by jewelers for centuries often manifesting itself in the form of a three-stone ring.  This week, we have an exceptional example.

Painstakingly handcrafted from platinum, this Art Deco beauty is overflowing with intricate details.  Shown in profile, the shoulder of the ring showcases everything that early 20th century jewelry is known for.  There are hand-pierced openings in the shape of tiny leaves and elongated paisleys.  Each one is further accented by beaded milgrain edges and deeply etched engraving.  Nestled among this majesty are six single-cut diamonds that have a total weight of .11 carat.  The artistry has no beginning, no middle and no end.

Every single spec of the ring is decorated.  Not one edge has been neglected.  The view from the top is simpler but no less stunning.  A trio of octagonal-shaped settings span the finger, each one set with a dazzling diamond.  The center stone weighs approximately 1.24 carats while the outer two diamonds have a combined weight of 2.14 carats.  Imagine it, if you will… not one, not two – but three one carat diamonds on your hand!   These diamonds have an average color grade of H-I and an average clarity grade of VS1-2.  An epic ring – there is one stone for the past, one for the present and one for the future.

Pythagoras was right.  Three IS the perfect number and this ring is the proof.  Certified by the International Gemological Institute of America, this ring is valued at $30,165.00.  We are offering it for just $19,800.00 – a savings of over $10,365.00.  Don’t miss your chance to have this triple threat on your hand…  hop on over to our website and make it yours now.

This or That – Volume One

 Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling and Favorite Things

Timeless design, classic appeal and rich with symbolism; the three-stone ring is arguably one of the most iconic styles of all time.  Whether you’re searching for the perfect engagement ring or perhaps an anniversary band that is beyond compare – this exemplary configuration is definitely worth considering.

Most often dubbed the Past, Present, and Future ring – it’s aptly named.  Usually arranged with one larger center stone that is flanked by a pair of smaller stones, the meaning is simple.  One small diamond represents the love and memories the couple has shared, the other smaller diamond personifies all of the beauty and joy of where the relationship is now while the larger diamond in the center is symbolic of a bright and promising future.

Once you’ve committed to this ultra romantic motif, I have just one question for you…  this or that?  These two beauties are at the top of my list, but which one would you choose?  First, we have an antique-inspired 18 karat yellow gold stunner.  A revival of the Victorian half-hoop ring, this modern counterpart has a quiet beauty that is tough to beat.  With the three main diamonds having a combined total weight of 1.72 carats – it sparkles from every angle.   The overall style of this gem is low profile and band-like, making it ideal for daily wear.  Priced at $6,700.

Then we have this cool platinum dreamboat.  Three round diamonds span the mid-section of this modern marvel with a combined total of 1.04 carats of brilliance.  An additional thirty diamond melee are set in the side, shoulders, and gallery of the band – quite literally covering the entire top half of the ring.  This baby is all about the sparkle and is available on our website for just $5,850.00.

And so the question remains the same…  this or that?  Would you prefer the warm Victorian vibe created by this vintage-inspired yellow gold ring or perhaps you’re captivated by the white hot heat of the platinum number.  These and so much more is waiting for you at Joden Jewelers.
