Nearly three inches from top to bottom, these showstopper earrings are absolutely divine. Made entirely of 18-karat yellow gold, they glitter from every angle.
While they don’t quite reach my shoulder, there’s no denying the impact of these earrings. The very definition of statement jewelry, these unique beauties are made in three distinct sections. The top portion features four fancy-cut rubies and five round brilliant diamonds. A small round bezel-set diamond creates a hinge between the top and the middle; a second bezel set diamond connects the middle link segment to the tear-drop shaped bottom.
This double-hinged design allows for plenty of movement. As the earrings dance below the lobe, the gemstones both dazzle and delight. There are fifty-four rubies in total… forty-five ovals, four pear-shapes, and five rounds. Combined, these precious gems have a total of 32.68 carats. Well matched, these purplish-red rubies are prong set allowing the shapes to fit together in a randomly beautiful pattern.
Forty-four round brilliant diamonds are sprinkled throughout the design. Offering a combined weight of approximately 1.54 carats, these diamonds add brilliance to the subtle shine of the ruby gems. These near colorless diamonds have an average clarity grade of SI1-SI2. Each earring is carefully fitted with a fold-over back that keeps the earring snug on the lobe.
