Pick of the Week – Volume 71

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

With Spring knocking on the door, the first blooms of the season are bursting through the top of the soil… seeking the warmth of the sun.  Soon, the crisp air will be fragrant with the sweet scent of hyacinth and lilies.  A kaleidoscope of brightly colored flowers will usher Spring in…  some of my personal favorites are crocuses, daffodils and tulips.  This week, we’re celebrating the incoming season with a sale that’s just too good.

Today’s pick is an 18-karat white gold beauty with a little secret.  This modern beauty is a bit wider than a typical engagement ring; it has great presence and a good feel on the hand.  Seventy-eight perfectly matched round brilliant diamonds are set edge to edge with tiny prongs in a style known as pavé.  These near colorless sparklers have an average clarity grade of VS2-SI1 and a  combined weight of exactly .63 carat – a detail that is inscribed inside the shank of the ring.

Presenting in a modified halo, those side diamonds surround a dazzling center stone.  Perfectly nestled into the center of the ring is a round brilliant diamond that weighs 1.00 carat.  An excellent match to the side stones, this diamond has a color grade of H-I and a clarity grade of VS1-VS2.  Viewed from the top, this ring is a radiant display of scintillating sparkle.  It’s the side view that has my heart.

With just one small turn, the secret is revealed.  A tulip-like blossom cradles the center of the ring.  Made from 18-karat rose gold, this detail is everything.  The gold has been artfully sculpted into a series of curves, mimicking the look of a flower – it’s a stroke of creative genius.  It should come as no surprise to learn that this ring was made by Simon G. (his signature mark is etched inside the ring) – his timeless designs have been captivating young couples for decades.

This ring has been on our site for quite a while.  We are excited to offer it as a Pick of the Week.  Previously priced at $9,775.00 – we are now dropping the price to just $6000.00!  We cannot wait to see who claims this stunning diamond ring for themself  or someone they love.

“Designing jewelry is an all-consuming passion, it is my hobby.  It’s my life.”

– Simon G.

Since 1980, Simon Ghanimian has been hand-sketching some of the most iconic bridal jewelry in the world.  His style is a unique combination of vintage artistry and the trends of today.  He has been known to say that he still gets his biggest thrill from creating a new piece.  After forty years, that’s quite a statement.

Each and every piece of Simon G. jewelry is perfection from the inside out.  They are polished on the top, back, interior and even underneath the stones.  This painstaking process creates a highly reflective surface, and ultimately allows the brilliance of each diamond to truly shine.  The artisans at Simon G. work within their own unique discipline – pavé, channel, or prong setting.

Only the finest materials are used to create these extraordinarily beautiful engagement rings.  Every creation is assigned a unique serial number, this seal of authenticity is like a birth certificate…  revealing when the piece was made and where it was sold.  In addition, every piece of Simon G. jewelry is put through ten quality assurance checkpoints.  This rigorous process ensures the supreme quality of every piece.

This 18 karat white gold gem is a classic Simon G. design.  A perfectly matched pair of pear-shaped brilliant cut diamonds flank the center stone while a delicate halo of round diamonds encircles the entire trio and cascades down the shoulders.  These thirty-six diamonds have a combined weight of .70 carat.  All of these diamonds are near colorless and have an average clarity grade of VS-SI.

A round brilliant diamond is nestled in the center of the ring.  It weighs in at .73 carat.  This diamond dazzles with a color grade of E-F and a clarity grade of VS2-SI1.  Each element of this beauty combine to create pure perfection.

This is our 24th Pick of the Week.  Every Monday we take an old favorite from our website and evaluate every aspect of it.  This information is used to calculate a new unbelievable price.  This Simon G. original was on our website for $6,750.00.  Today, it’s available for just $5,400.00!  Go to our site and make it yours.

“Just like any relationship, it’s all the little things that add up to the big picture.” – Simon G.

As Simon G. so wisely noted, jewelry is often a collection of fine points…  details that collaborate and create one stunning piece.  This estate ruby ring, signed by the man himself is a prime example of that statement.

At a glance, one would say this is a classically beautiful ring.  The initial impression reveals a traditional three stone motif centered on a deep red natural ruby.  Weighing 2.57 carats, the rich tone of this stone creates a focal point for the eye.  Flanking this beauty are a pair of perfectly matched princess cut diamonds.  These two stones have a combined weight of .35 carats.  Simple so far, yes?

Now, let’s get to those subtle details that make a Simon G. ring truly special.  Resting slighting underneath the center ruby is a delicate halo of round brilliant diamonds.  It perfectly encases the entire three-stone portion.  The shank splits into two delicate parallel lines, each hand set with sparkling diamonds as are both sides of the ring.  There are ninety round brilliant diamonds in all totaling .50 carat.  Finally, further accenting these bright white diamonds are rows of small beads, a technique that has been used since the Edwardian period called milgrain.

Simon G. pieces are polished on every surface; the top, back, interior, and underneath glisten.  Every stone is set by hand.  A ring like this, classically traditional with a nod to modern aesthetics, has us wondering why it’s still here.  It’s a perfect choice for The Piece of the Week!  Previously priced at $6,000, this vision is now available for just $4,450.00.  Don’t miss this unbelievable deal!
