Joden Girl
Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things
This week’s blog is a bit fishy…
I didn’t pick the fish, the fish picked me. Or rather, Joe picked the fish for me. In our classic tale, he is the fisherman who boasts about all of the majestic aspects of his premium catch. There’s no need to exaggerate the size of this marlin – it’s quite impressive on its own. Measuring four inches from tip to end, it spans clear across my palm.
An imaginative combination of a natural opal, geometrically cut sapphires and diamonds, this sea creature is quite eye-catching. Weighing approximately fifteen carats, the organic shape of this fiery opal easily lends itself to the outline of the fish. Triangular and baguette sapphires form the ruffled dorsal fin – these gems have a complete weight of 3.50 carats.
An unusual elongated baguette serves as the sword while ten additional baguette diamonds take the shape of the pectoral fins. Pavé round brilliant diamonds cover the head and tail. All of these diamonds offer a total weight of 2.25 carats.
Shown from behind, you can see that even the structure of the fish is finished with real artistry. Joe’s fish is both inventive and brag-worthy. Priced at $8,750.00, this nautical wonder is available on our site now.
