Joden Girl
Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things
Did you know that a group of butterflies is known as a kaleidoscope? Most of us associate that term with the optical instrument that uses two or more mirrors to reflect patterns and colors.ย These mirrors are enclosed within a tube; the far end of the tube features a closed compartment filled with an array of colorful glass shards.ย When the end is turned, the pieces tumble over and over, creating ever-changing and captivating designs.ย In much the same way, when groups of butterflies flutter their wings, endless displays of beautiful color result…ย and so, the group was dubbed a kaleidoscope.ย
Today, we’re featuring just two butterflies.ย Many cultures associate a pair of butterflies flying together with harmony and balance.ย Some even believe that such a sighting symbolizes two souls reuniting in heaven, a truly spiritual and emotional interpretation.ย Our dainty duo measure just one inch across and three-quarters of an inch in length.ย Made from the rich warm tones of 18-karat yellow gold, the wings have engraved lines texturizing the surface.ย Each small tear-drop shaped wing is also softly sculpted – a charming detail that offers lifelike appeal.ย ย
Polished to a shine, both miniature bodies begin with two antennae.ย Then, a small creamy pearl marks each head, while a marquise-cut natural turquoise forms the thorax.ย Finally, the slender golden tail completes the look.ย They’re absolutely charming and oh-so wearable!ย Perfect on your favorite denim jacket (the collar or the cuff) – or a piece of ribbon around your neck, these little darlings can be worn so many ways.ย ย
Priced at just $600, this tiny twosome is available in our store or on our site.ย For those who aren’t fans of brooches, these cuties could be re-imagined into pendants, earrings, or even rings or bracelets.ย Contact us for additional details.ย ย
