Pick of the Week – Volume 35

Joden Girl

Baubles and Bling with Unbelievable Pricing

The Pick of the Week is all about celebrating oldies that are still goodies.  With thousands of pieces in inventory, it stands to reason that some real gems can get lost in the shuffle.  Jewelry, like people, is filled with personalities of every kind…  some pieces are bold and in-your-face while others speak softly.  The quiet ones are the ones that tend to get overlooked until someone shines a spotlight on them.  That’s what this feature is all about, shining a light on a beautiful gem that has previously gone unnoticed.

Vintage Victorian, this layout necklace has much to offer.  Comprised of seventeen rose-cut amethyst slices of varying sizes, it’s filled with refined details.  Interspersed between those soft lavender-hued stones are eight clover-shaped silver and gold-washed links.  Each clover is set with twelve rose-cut diamonds, adding an element of understated sparkle.  The unique faceting on every stone within this antique necklet offers an exquisitely sophisticated shine that glistens and shimmers under the light.  Each subtle component combines to create a true statement piece.

Ethereally elegant, this necklace was listed on our site for $1700.  With little action, Dana and I are shining the proverbial spot light on it AND giving it some updated pricing.  Visit our site and make it yours for just $1300.00.

Joe’s Special Box – Volume 67

Joden Girl

Baubles, Bling, and A Collector’s Things

As soon as I saw this delicate little necklace (curled up in a pile of golden deliciousness on Joe’s desk), I nabbed it.  I am ALWAYS on the lookout for blog pieces…  it’s a never-ending quest.  Even now, after more than 200 blogs later, I still can’t guess which pieces will resound with you.  Instead, I choose the things that speak to me and hope that somehow they will appeal to you as well.

And so, here we are with this late Victorian gem.  Twenty-five golden pins dangle from an interlocking cable link chain.  They graduate in size, with the largest one in the center.  It measures approximately one inch in length, and the smallest one is just a half inch.  It lays perfectly on the neck – a requisite for me.  Comfort is key.  Usually, by the end of the workday, I have discarded my jewelry in a tiny pile on the corner of my desk…  hoop earrings that got too heavy, a bracelet that clanged against my keyboard, or perhaps a ring that wore out it’s welcome on my hand.  But this beauty has been clasped around my neck for nearly four hours now and I barely know it’s there.  It’s effortless.  And that is something to smile about.  Make it yours for just $740.00.
